Bae went 1-for-3 with a walk, a hit, a stolen base, and a run scored in the eighth inning of the 2023 MLB World Series against the Oakland Athletics at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, on April 8.

Bae produced a hit in his first at-bat.

Leading off the third inning, Bae hit a 메이저사이트 low, cut fastball outside from Oakland starter Hogan Harris and lined it to the shortstop. He then sprinted down the line for an infield hit.

He was thrown out at second base two batters later on Brian Reynolds’ grounder to the second baseman.

In his second at-bat with two outs in the fourth inning, he grounded out to shortstop, and in the seventh inning, he led off with a single to shortstop.

In his final at-bat, in the bottom of the ninth, he led off and drew a walk.

He advanced to third on a grounder to shortstop by Andrew McCutchen and scored on Reynolds’ RBI single.

With his three-game hitting streak, Bae’s season batting average increased slightly to .276 from .275.

Despite Bae’s performance, Pittsburgh suffered a 5-9 loss to Oakland.

Pittsburgh starter Roanjee Contreras gave up seven runs to the Oakland bats in the first inning.

Pittsburgh, which has lost two straight, is now 32-29 on the season.
