Hwang Eui-jo, who returned to the professional soccer K-League through FC Seoul, visited Seongnam FC, his former team, and greeted the fans.
According to a video released on the last 6 days on Seongnam FC’s YouTube channel, Hwang Ui-jo visited the Seongnam club and said, “I have always supported Seongnam FC while playing in Europe, and have always been looking for it.” I was holding onto it, but anyway, I wanted to say something to the fans like this, so I came here.”
Hwang Eui-jo also said, “I can’t guarantee it, but I hope that one day I will come back to Seongnam and play for Seongnam once again, just as I played in Seongnam.”
Regarding his days in Seongnam, “every moment was new to me. The moment I started in the youth team, made my professional debut, the moment I lifted the trophy, and the moment I advanced to the Asian Champions League and reached the round of 16 were all memorable. “All the matches and all the goals I played in Seongnam are still vivid memories for me,” he said.
Regarding Seongnam’s relegation to the second division, Hwang Eui-jo said, “The manager has changed and we are starting a new season in the K-League 2, but all the players, coaching staff, team members, and all the fans who support Seongnam are wondering where Seongnam should play. I think you will know exactly,” he said.
