The Asian Games squads, which are comprised of the national soccer A team and U-24 players, have balanced their rosters for their side-by-side trials in June.

Head coach Jürgen Klinsmann (GER) announced the 23-man roster for the two June A matches (Peru and El Salvador) at the Shinmunro Football Hall in Jongno-gu on Friday.

The team will face Peru in Busan on June 16 and El Salvador in Daejeon on June 20.

There was a concern that duplication of players from the A and U-24 national teams could be a problem.

The U-24 team, which will compete at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games in September, will also play a series of trials around the same time. They will face China twice at Jinhua Stadium in Zhejiang, China, on September 15 and 19.

The stadium will be home to the Hangzhou Asian Games and will serve as both a performance test and an acclimatization exercise. It’s a valuable opportunity for Hwang, who hasn’t had enough official matches due to the year-long postponement of the Games due to COVID-19.

Some of the Under-24 players who were called up to the A squad in March were included in the Asian Games squad. Jung Woo-young 토토사이트 (24-Freiburg) and Song Min-gyu (24-North Korea). Uhm Won-sang (24-Ulsan), a candidate for the A team, will also accompany the team to China.

The appointments are partly a compromise between Klinsmann and Hwang Sun-hong.

In the past, players with overlapping rosters between the A and age-group national teams have been subject to subtle tensions between the coaches.

Klinsmann said: “I’m in constant communication with Hwang Sun-hong and Kim Eun-jung. The absence of Jung Woo-young (Freiburg) is also a result of the ongoing dialog,” Klinsmann said, adding, “Jung Woo-young is with the Asian Games team, but he can always join us.”

“In September, we have the Asian Games, and today he had a good result at the U-20 World Cup. We’re monitoring him. We are discussing if he can come up to the A team. The Asian Cup in January is the most important thing. It will be interesting to see how the roster changes until then.”
